Hyperhidrosis – is a medical condition characterised by excessive sweating beyond what is necessary to regulate the body temperature. The condition can affect various parts of the body including the palms, soles of feet, underarms, and face.

Some patients have severe lifestyle limitations because of hyperhidrosis (excess sweating) of the palms or armpits or facial flushing. 

Primary hyperhidrosis affects 3% of the population and often begins during childhood or adolescence.  It can be triggered by emotions stress or heat and can have a significant impact on an individual’s quality of life.

Secondary hyperhidrosis is caused by an underlying medical condition such as an infection, hormonal disorder, or neurological disorder. Treatment involves addressing the underlying condition.
